Final Product Development
Every material and technology chosen in BrewFlow was guided by real cafe needs, inclusive design and long-term sustainability considerations
Materials and technologies must meet the functional, environmental and user experience demands of busy café environments.

Different materials were explored to understand how durability, hygiene, sensory comfort, and manufacturability could influence the product. The research considers both rapid prototyping materials and commercially vaible finishes suited to fast-paced café environments.
A lightweight biodegradable plastic commonly used for rapid 3D printing and early-stage prototyping.
A durable food-safe plastic widely used in commercial kitchen and consumer products due to its moisture resistance and flexibility.
A strong engineering-grade nylon material known for its durability, wear resistance, and functional performance.
A natural hardwood explored for its warm aesthetic tactile quality, and approachable appearance.
A layered engineered wood material often used for quick fabrication, structural mock-ups, and concept modelling.
A highly durable and hygienic metal commonly used in professional café and food preparation environments
Each material was evaluated against key environmental and functional requirements including heat resistance, food safety, durability, and aesthetic quality. This comparison helped identify which materials were most appropriate for structural components, user interaction areas, and future commercial development.
